Reece Stanley

Epic Death

Reece has always been drawn to music. When he was 12, his older brother Russell - who was 16 at the time - was playing bass. Reece wanted to be able to play with his brother, so he bought a snare drum and hi-hat set from a local catalog. At the age of 15, Reece took a roofing job during his summer vacation so he could save up and buy his first used drum kit - and a set of earplugs for his parents! When he was 18, his mother bought him his first brand new drum kit as a graduation gift. Two weeks later, Reece moved to Dallas to play with his brother, Russell. Reece recorded 3 albums with his brother’s rock band, and then moved on to playing in a progressive metal band for 7 years. That band toured and recorded during this time frame, but the band’s manager passed away and left a void in their life. After that, the band decided to part ways. Since then - and four drum sets later - Reece has joined forces with worldwide recording artists, Phantom-X. Phantom-X has previously recorded two albums with Mausoleum records, and has toured in Europe and the U.S. In March of 2010, Phantom-X’s third album “This Is War” was released by Perris Records. The band is currently scheduled to tour in the U. S. in summer 2010, and in Europe in fall of 2010. The band has also begun writing for their fourth album due to release sometime early 2011. During his time off from Phantom-X, Reece also plays in various other Dallas local bands. He plays not only rock and metal music, but also plays country and a little jazz, with a bit of classical thrown in.
